Furthermore, Thailand’s legislature has drafted, and is soon expected to enact, product liability legislation. Such legislation will make it possible for claimants injured, by defective products, to recover their damages without having to prove “fault” on the part of the defendant.  It will also allow successful plaintiffs to recover a “punitive” damage award of up to twice the consequential damage amount.
